This creates a graduated income tax that lowers taxes for 97% of Coloradans with $2 billion collected from those who make over $500,000. Funds will go toward K-12 education, healthcare, and childcare. No one making under $500,000 per year will pay one penny more. In fact, 97% of taxpayers will get a tax cut, including seniors, veterans, and small businesses.

This raises revenue cap and releases about $4.6 billion in surplus funds to go toward teacher retention, teacher pay increases, lower class sizes, workforce prep for students, and other educational programs.
OPPOSE
This poorly constructed policy would create safety issues and significant risk by reducing or removing protections for clean air and renewable energy, leading to increased utility costs and environmental strain.
This poorly written policy would force invasive gender inspections, allowing anyone to demand proof of any girl beginning in kindergarten. It creates a high risk for students to experience humiliation and exclusion. The proposition could also increase costs for the Colorado Department of Education, school districts, schools, and athletic departments as they navigate new policies, legal challenges, and enforcement.
This involves the government in private medical decisions that should belong to families. Life-saving cancer surgeries could be blocked if this passes. Families and their doctors–including mental health providers–should make choices, not the government.

This institutes a 4.4% state income tax cap. It directly impacts Initiative 195, the graduated income tax Amendment. If both initiatives pass, but this receives more votes, then the new tax rates on earners making over $500,000 cannot go into effect.
